Chandra’s Creative walls Decals are very easy to apply, and remove. Check below instructions before applying your Creative walls decals.
1. Clean and dry wall:
Before applying Creative walls Decals first make sure that the wall you are going to apply is clean and dry.
2. Position Creative walls Decals on Wall:
In order to install Creative walls Decals you will need to know exactly where you would like to place/position them. Make markings and measurements accordingly to wall & decal sizes.
3. Location & surface for Creative walls Decals:
Choose a suitable location for Creative walls Decals. Creative walls Decals look and adhere best to a wall with little or no texture. It can be applied over wall, window, tile, glass or metals. But make sure that surface is clean, dry and dust free before applying. Creative walls decals will not adhere to metal/furniture’s which are oil stained or which are cleaned with oil cleaners. We recommend new paint must be dry for 1 week before application of wall decals. We do not guarantee success of our wall decals if they are applied on surface which is not cleaned proper, surface which is wet or moist or surface where our decals will directly get exposed to moisture/steam.
4. Creative walls Decal layers:
Creative walls Decals comes in 3 layers: Protective backing paper, which is a white color paper comes along with vinyl manufacturer’s logo. Transfer paper, will be transparent paper on top of decal & protective backing paper, which is used to transfer decals on wall. Third layer is Decal which will be in between protective paper backing and transfer paper.
5. Installation:
Once you complete above initial preparation for application of wall decals follow the below steps:
Step 1:
Initially make sure that wall decal is properly stuck with transfer paper. Remove bubbles by using squeegee if any. Furnish decal to remove all bubbles, working from center to corners to remove big bubbles.
Step 2:
Leaving both coatings on (protective backing and transfer paper), place the Creative walls decal on wall as per markings. Use masking tape to position at the desired location. Stand back at some distance to review its position & change it if needed.
Step 3:
Now your wall decal is perfectly placed on wall along with masking tape. Now start with largest section to peel off the protective backing paper while making sure that wall decal is lifting off the paper & only clinging to the transfer paper. If decal is not clinging to transfer paper, burnish the problem area with squeegee or by placing your hand behind problem area as you work your way down.
Make sure that wall decal & transfer paper will keep adhered to wall as you go to minimize bubbles.
Step 4:
After paper backing is completely removed, run squeegee over wall decal & transfer paper from center to edges.
Now you are almost done, slowly peel off transfer paper from wall leaving behind Creative walls Decal. If you notice wall decal is peeling up along with transfer paper, reapply it to surface & burnish it with squeegee.
Step 5:
When transfer paper is/are removed, review wall decal once if any bubbles are left.
If you find any bubbles clear it through the edges or use pin to pop bubbles. Smooth it to the surface.
